Margate Fishing Pier
The Margate Fishing Pier is just South of Margate’s Main Beach, next to the Whale Viewing Deck.
Ever popular with local fishermen, especially during the annual hubbub of the Sardine Run.
After being severely damaged during rough seas and severe storms some years back, the Margate Fishing Pier has been restored to its former glory and was reopened to the public in December 2010.
In addition to the pier from which fishermen catch shad and sardines, there are also taps and benches for the cleaning of these fish.
